This application was designed with social oriented services in mind. Patients, disabled and elderly people can communicate with sanitary and social assistants by means of video telephony communications with a Video Assistance Centre using a 3G Phone, Internet or a set top box connected to the user’s own TV receiver. The video assistance system has every feature present in a modern contact center, like services, skills, login/logout, state changes, call transfer, and call hold. The elders can also receive inbound video calls on their TV sets, from health service, relatives, non-profit organizations, etc.
